From Our Principal - Mr Brendan Moloney

Dear Families,

As we bring another school year to a close, I want to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support and partnership.

I have been blessed during my time at St Joseph’s and am so appreciative of the support that I have received from both families and school staff. Having started my journey here in 2018, how could I have predicted the challenges to be placed before us, COVID, bushfires, power outages floods and more.  What I have learned during this time is that this community comes together in times of challenge, I am in awe of your resilience.

It has been a remarkable journey, I hope that I have been able to support our wonderful team as they have continued to develop and enhance the safe and welcoming learning environment that is St Joseph’s. I am incredibly proud of what our students and staff have accomplished. I pray that all our students continue to thrive as they move through their learning journey at St Joseph’s.

I would also like to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our dedicated staff. Their passion for teaching and their commitment to our students have made a significant impact on our school community.

As we look ahead to the upcoming year, we are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. We will continue to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that empowers our students to reach their full potential.

2025 Class Teachers

Below are our class teachers/teams for 2025. As you can see we still have a position in Stage 3 to be filled. We are hoping to be able to announce this position as soon as possible.

ES1 – Miss Sophie Sly and Mrs Cherie Verrall

S1 – Mrs Tracey Flaherty (Tues-Fri), Mr James Farr and Miss Laura Youman

S2 – Mrs Melissa Campbell, Mrs Katie Manning (Wed/Thurs) and Mr Dominic Howard

S3 – Mr Andrew Maslen and TBC

Mrs Jodie Maginnity, Mrs Belinda McElligott and Mr William McElligott will be working across class groups.

Friday 31st January - Staff Administration Day (Pupil Free Day)

Monday 3rd February - Best Start/MAI's (Individual times to be booked)

Tuesday 4th February - Best Start/MAI's (Individual times to be booked)

Wednesday 5th February - Class for Kinder -Year 6 begin

Maths Assessment Interview (MAI's) are now open on Compass, these meetings will take place on Monday 3rd & Tuesday 4th February. The assessment is a 45 minute one-to-one interview with the teacher and student and are held at the beginning of each school year.
